I received the KHE 4x2 today and was able to integrate it to my rig immediately. The the unit feels pretty solid overall. It also has some weight to it for a half-rack unit. I have/had a few switching units to include a Brunetti Matrix, Ampete 4x4, and Soundsculpture Headtrip. Before purchasing the KHE, I was actually considering the Kahayan MIDI head switcher. The Kahayan seems awesome, but the half-rack format and pricing really drew me in to the KHE. Sound-wise, I really can't hear the difference between all the units, but all do sound and feel transparent to me. The real difference is in the features. The Sound Sculpture has a nice feature that can combine 2 amps and 2 cabs in parallel and it also has pre-effects loops. The Ampete and Brunetti have shared effects loop, but only the Brunetti has a pre-effects loop on it.
Overall, the KHE works for what I need it to do and the form-factor is a plus. I have one cab out going to a Suhr Reactive Load then back to the Helix. The other goes to a Two Notes Captor, then the attenuated out to a 1x12.
Markus has also been responsive and helpful during the whole process. My unit got stuck in customs and he was able to verify the status/location for me. So far, I'm pretty satisfied with the unit and whole purchase experience.
