Good stuff Scott. I gas for a lot but when i get to the store and try stuff I realize that my current set up of my slightly modded Marshall VM boosted by a BDD is just more to my liking.... I'm pretty good where I'm at. I would love to buy a Charvel from Curt though. I'd love to put my EBMM JP6, Washburn N4 and strat into a blender and come out with the perfect blend of those guitars. I think a CS Charvel just maybe that guitar.

Just been reading and then deploying the stuff I have bro, IMO nothing really new has happened since the 80s other than some pedals ansd several amps.

Honestly I love the Fortin Cali clips but was underwhelmed with the Fortin VM clips I've heard. Would love to try one of the Fortin modded JVMs Ralph is selling though. Ralphs ears are gold. If he says it killer I typically agree with him.

Honestly I love the Fortin Cali clips but was underwhelmed with the Fortin VM clips I've heard. Would love to try one of the Fortin modded JVMs Ralph is selling though. Ralphs ears are gold. If he says it killer I typically agree with him.

Not a fan of the VM clips as well, goes to show everything Mike does is not for everyone and I love his work

Ralph is the reason I went with Fortin, Ralph has some of the best ears I have witnessed.


Ok back to SLO, Here is one of my favs even though the quality is not that great. My man Flying Angus tearing it up with a boosted SLO w/d/w with a detune patch using an Eventide.

I love hearing Angus play!

That Fly Angus clip is cool! I never really liked SLO's based on ten minutes I spent on one at the old Tone Merchants. I had this one come in a couple of months ago and didn't like it at first. After a couple of twists of the EQ knobs to something that would not have worked on my normal amps, I thought it sounded killer. Bronco on Rig Talk snagged it from me and I recorded this clip for him before I shipped it.
