I'm about an hour into it and so far what I'm hearing is a guy who loves the hell out of what he's doing and seems to understand the impact of the instrument and how it fits into rock, why it's cool, and why he wanted to pick it up in the first place.
I haven't watched an interview this entertaining in a long while.
Yeah he seems like a cool guy and has certainly cooled a little on the ego which some people said he had in the past. But jesus is he hard to listen to... I love his enthusiasm but it is a bit exhausting. I am watching it in sections.
He did get it right though.... TONE IS IN THE .....FINGERS
The way you hold the pick, your attack etc.. we have this circular argument on here but you can't consider the articulation or the way a person plays to be "gear". It is unique to them.
