buddy invited me to go see them in columbus next week and i know nothing about them.should i be looking foward to this or is it a waste of time?
 
I'd go, there will be a lot of hot chicks there. I heard the band hates the music they are playing right now so it might not be the best show.

I really dig them, but their style may not be up your ally. I personally think they got a great sound for most of their songs. :thumbsup:

Because there making money? and its a career in playing music?

Maybe hate it isn't the best wording, more like burnt out.

So do I. :) Not what I dig, I saw them on some UK TV show recently, did nothing for me. The show has several bands on different stages, always forget the name, and they go from band to band. Metallica was on the same show I think, there was another episode with David Gilmore.

At least they are making a good living at making music, even if they hate their own music. :confused:
 
Hate? They said they need to take some time off. Have been on the road a lot.

I like them a lot. A welcome change in a time where every rock band sounds like other bands before them.
 
First album was awesome.

Second was great.

The others I can leave.

Go on Youtube, check out Molly Chambers, The Bucket and Red Morning Light.

Also, they used to look a lot cooler when the first album was out.

I got a ticket as a birthday present, didn't know anything about them, and their hits sound so lame.

But then I saw them live, and I couldn't believe it, that singer/guitarist rocked pretty hard. Amazing show and I recommend you go there and have fun! :rock:
 
They were really good on the recent Austin City Limits show. Great musicians. Not sure how it translates in huge arenas though.
 
the tunes i have heard are extremely monotonous, like the chorus repeats 5000 times

i find them incredibly dull, boring, unoriginal, but i do think sex on fire is a good song. still a HIGHLY overrated band.
