It's funny how radio-play and popularity can alter your perception of a band. Like I said in an earlier post, I happened to be watching Austin City Limits a few months ago and they introducted Kings of Leon. At the time, I had heard of the band, but never heard any of their music. I didn't know they were popular. Anyways, I thought their show was extremely good, all musicians were obviously competent and their interplay was very unique and polished. It sounded very original.
From there, I started hearing them on the radio and I almost want to stop liking them now because they are popular.
