Will the KS Mod get tones Like: RUSH, LED ZEP,EARLY VAN HALEN, RATT ETC. HOW WELL WILL THE AMP CLEAN UP BY ROLLING OFF ON THE VOLUME. JUST WANTING To KNOW THE RANGE OF MUSIC I CAN PLAY. THANKS! P.S. IF THE AMP MATTERS IT WOULD BE A 1959SLP RE-ISSUE.

I own two with the BE mod and the bands you listed are perfect for this mod. For only $50 more get the Saturation. It opens up a lot more tonal possibilities. You won't necessarily need to get the KS. The amp cleans up really well with the volume too.

Yeah, I dont think you need the KS for those tones. You can more than cover it with the Brown Eye/C45 mods. Throw in the Saturation swith for some more fun:)

would it be worth getting the HBE? what kinds of tones does the HBE produce

If you can swing it get the deal; BE/HBE/C45. You can cover a lot of ground with Dave's mod and it doesn't sound harsh like so many Marshall mods sound. Big, fat and warm. Dave is the king!

DITTO,
My 50 watt JCM800 (model 1987) has the KS, the BE is awesome on it's own merit and will cover your taste in music perfect! I recommend adding the FX loop, Dave builds the best loop on the planet!
