He said $100 less. Rockbox 350 EE 269

I cant see it but each to his own.
Rockbox Boiling point is $369.
If I could ask you a question, and I mean no disrespect so please forgive me for putting you on the spot, but how does your pedal differ than the RockBox @ 369 and the Paul C Timmy @ 129? Please know I am not stating you are over charging or anything like that. I am just curious as to what you get for your money. What, in your opinion sets the price of the pedal? This has been a popular topic here lately.
Excellent question! I am curious myself? More specifically, what differences would make your pedal $100 less (if you know enough about Rockbox's business to even comment. Let's focus solely on the pedals themselves and labor, and not externalities such as shipping costs)? Also, what are the differences that justify your pedal to be $100 more than say a Fulltone OCD?
Thanks for your advice thus far Echelon. I like what I hear for sure!
@Goose,
As a struggling musican prior to building effects pedals and modding amps, I would always look for the next best thing in overdrives/distortions. Some folks are delay junkies....I am a drive junky. Love my dirt boxes mainly because they're all just a little different. So in combination with the amp's distortions, I could also supplement and broaden my sound with the dirt boxes. I have owned some of the coolest drive boxes (radial engineering, fulltone, keeley, zeek, blackstar, etc...) but would always have to psyche myself up to buy one due to price. Fast Forwarding, until recently, I would have like 5-6 drive boxes on the board to acheive all the sounds that I use. One day I thought to myself, how sweet would it be if I could have one pedal that could achieve 4-5 sounds out of the same box? And thats where it all went off....lots of r&d and late nights. And that's how I came to the price point. I myself would pay that type of money to have 4-5 different sounds in 1 box. So I figured I'd go with it.
As for the Fulltone, I have to say firstly that Mike Fuller makes great products. The OCD (v3 and v4) and FullDrive (newest one, and the red sparkle custom shop) are 2 of my favorite pedals that I have owned. As for the difference, the Imperial has a mid-boost switch along with the 3 clipping devices. I can't comment on the fulltone production, but ours is hand painted, and hand built. I installed every component on the box by hand personally. Again, they're all tubescreamer platforms modded to the tastes of each individual builder. We also offer a 7 year warranty that protects agains manufacturer's defects. Again, I strongly encourage anyone who uses pedals to try ours. There will be no disappointment.
