MURDERATOR
Hss with a kahler trem. Anyone owned or have any experience with them? Buddy is wanting to trade one and I have had a couple killer USA pv’s in the past….

Sounds like a real Mississippi Metal Machine. What are you trading? Don't say "my MESA cab".....

There are several different versions of the Tracer; generally all good but I prefer the fancier ones

Kahler Spyder? I'd wanna make sure the trem is all in good working order - not sure how easy/expensive it is to find parts for those

I have a Kahler Spyder tremolo bridge on my '87 Fender Japan Contemporary Strat. You can find parts for the Spyder tremolo bridge at Kahler USA:

Or at Whammy Parts:

Kahler may have parts. They still have the complete bridges in stock according to their website.

As for the Tracer, I've never owned one but have had several friends who did. They seemed like great guitars to me and they were happy with them. I think the weakest parts was the pickups and electronics, but it's been a while and I could've just been being young and dumb. I seem to remember liking the neck, although it felt narrower than what I was used to at the time.

Just a head's up on Whammy Parts... I placed an order a couple months back and never received it. Order was confirmed (prob automated), but never shipped. Multiple attempts to contact were not respond to. Ultimately Chase refunded my purchase, so please tread carefully if you shop there.

I purchased a locking bracket for a Kahler from them. I gave them the correct model number for the Kahler, but the part they shipped me didn't fit my bridge at all. The screw holes weren't spaced correctly, not even close. I didn't even bother trying to send it back. I figured I could just make one myself for all the hassle of getting one from them.
