As usual I decided to cut down my collection from 11 guitars down to 9.
I decided to trade 3 guitars I do not play for one that I will play all the time.
I just need to face facts, I am not a Strat guy, more specifically I am not a Fender guy, Strats and Teles just don't work for me.
I do like Stratty and Tele tones, but for me a split humbucker will do just fine.
So I packaged up my Strats (2025 Fender American Ultra II HSS & 2025 Fender Player II Modified HSS) , my Mexican Martin Acoustic and $1050 cash and traded them for a 2008 PRS Custom 24 10-top at my local music store.
The PRS was $3800, but it was on consignment so they could not budge on the price which was a little high, but they gave me $2750 for my 3 guitars so it worked out well.
Plus they threw in a professional set-up on the spot which changed the playability 100% for the better.
I actually have a Ibanez LB1 Prestige that does really nice Strat and Tele tones, plus my other Ibanez Prestige AZ2402 a nd my Charvel GG USA both do nice single coil tones, so the Strats will not be missed.
As for the Martin, it was a all-solid body Mexican Martin I have owed for years, but I just hate to play acoustic, so rather than having 3 wall ornaments, I now have a guitar that will get played.
Later this week my Bogner 3534 35w head will arrive that I traded a forum member my Victory MKX + cash for.
Should be a fun week for guitar playing.
I have not been making many YouTube videos lately, but hopefully I can make a few in the next few weeks to showcase the new guitar and new amp, plus I have a Laney IRT-Studio 15 amp head I want to do a video of.
