LEF guitars?

How would you compare his stuff to say, a McNaught or even a PRS? Same league? More ESP/Jackson like? I love that purple explorer he did.
 
I’ve not played one, but seen some mixed comments on ones that have been up for sale (bad ergonomics, veneer coming off, etc). There was a thread on TGP where some dude really hyped his and then either didn’t like it or didn’t actually pay up because the guitar got reposted by LEF. When someone asked about what happened, dude deleted the thread.

I’ve been wary of throwing down full price for one given all that and the punishing used markdown. Would love to find out I’m wrong.
