When I got my first LP std about a year and 1/2 ago, I thought the bridge pup had a bit of a harsh top end to it. I swapped it out with a Steve Morse Dimarzio 200. The guitar sounded better but I still wasn't impressed. A few months ago I decided to put on a set of 10s(strings) to beaf up the tone some. I also saw a vid piece by Bonamasa in which he talked about rolling the bridge tone back on his LP just a tad to get rid of that harshness. With the 10s and my tone on about 7 the harsh top end is gone. With those changes, I decided to put the original pup back in. Now I'm impressed...sounds great!!!
