My first post. Yeah.

Looks very much like a John Sykes Les Paul. Just can't go wrong with a black Les Paul.

Nico...

Yes a some others mentioned it I love John Skyes, and was thinking about that when doing it, but didn't want to go with the chrome switchplate, and chrome pickgard.

Thanks,

lookin' good - do you absolutely love the Aldrich or what?

Not Really Feelin the Aldrich... I have had it for a while, tried it in a few gutiars, and never really warmed up to it... Sounds kinda Bright and Thin. I favor a darker Richer Sound.

I just put it in as a Temp Till Wade At Motorcity Pickups finishes my Custom underwound Afwayu...

I have that exact same guitar and did something similar..........ripped out the stock push/pulls and re-wired with an RS kit. Dropped in a Dimarzio 36th PAF and Super Distortion (after an exhaustive pickup search......including WCR, MCP, BKP, and Duncan models). I opted for a cream accent to match the binding. The cream Dimarzios aren't an exact match, but good enough in low light.

That looks great. Were the push pull pots in the volume positions or the tone positions?

Call me crazy, but I like being able to split the humbuckers in my les pauls, so I add push pull pots, but I do so to the tone pots, not the volume pots. The Push-pulls generally feel kind of cheap, so I don't want them on a volume knob.

Yes, They were on the Tone positions... But I decided to gut the guitar and start over had a bad hummm, and cheap thin wire... Ceramic Disk Caps and all...

I did all new stuff with heavy gauge wire, and Paper In Oil Sprage Vitamin Q Capacitors... Sounds Amazing!
