Epiphone "Inspired By Gibson" Les Paul Custom
Sure, it is expensive for an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. But is it worth it? Gibson USA 490 and 498 pickups, paper in oil caps, CTS pots, ABR bridge, ABR tailpiece and a hard case! This one had a little fret sprout but it's been extremely cold and dry in the Mid Atlantic region of the USA, and it got better after some quality time with my humidifier. Thanks to zZounds for loaning me this black beauty!
Have a great weekend and "Celebrate Mediocrity" with me!

Id rather have one authentic Gibson LPC that took 40 yrs rather than 10,000 epiphones.

The IBGC Epiphones are very good guitars especially when you upgrade the bridge and tailpiece on the models that don't have the Gibson custom shop parts. But I see a lot of Gibson Les Pauls used around 1500-1700 so it's hard for me to justify paying 1299 for an Epiphone.

I left a swirly bird skid mark accident scene in the toilet bowl this morning, inspired by Libby's beans and chili

I bought one last year and I sold it 2 days later. These does not compare to Gibsons Les Paul Custom - at least mine didn't. Mine sounded dull, frets were not polished, nut was poorly cut, and the guitar didn't feel "solid" like a Gibson les paul does. I have several LPC from different eras.

Going to get to try the "real thing" soon so I'll report back on the difference.

Honestly for the money...... These Epiphones deliver.

I'm all for it and the quality is there too.

Just seeing this and have to say that those Mallory caps are not PIO. I wonder why they advertise bumblebee caps but did not put them in there? Is this just a one off I wonder??

I'd take one or the other, maybe or maybe not and don't believe anyone who starts a sentence with honestly

Nothing against Gibson or Epiphone... But I got all the LP I'll ever need ... I ain't spending more money to make a more expensive guitar sound just like ... Me

I like that these Epiphones have MOP inlay and the split diamond headstock. The pearloid on the Edwards always bugged me.

I've played on of the 1979 AJ sigs and it was nice enough. I assume the "normal" LPC is the same.

I don't think so. Someone else commented that they are saying one thing but installing another on those caps. That's super not cool if so.
