mmmmmmm..
JMP's
I have one at Mikes that is getting a full nitrous injection as we speak

Lots of great tones in this thread!

I have a Metro clone and a Chupa, which is basically a modded 2204.

My main amp is a 1979 2203 that just destroys! No mods, just a couple small tweaks....so it's about 95% straight up JMP. HUGE! For solos, I run a Suhr Koko Boost and it just adds that little extra sustain without changing the tone. Simple and great!

There is a 76 JMP 50 watter here locally on craigslist. I did a google search for some clips just to see what to expect. There is a plethora of non inspiring clips, but this one...

is smokin. Who the hell demo's the low sensitivity input?  Sounds great.

The one on CL doesn't look like that though. It's got the big letters and big red and black toggle switches, yet both say they are 76. Sort of confusing.

I will have my Stock JMP this week i bought a 1979 waiting to arrive   What is the best pedal to boost it with?

you guys have any favorite settings for your JMPs?

I've been really digging mine with the following settings.

Pres - 6
Bass - 10
Mid - 6
Treble - 8
Master - 5
Pre Amp - 8

Works really well with my 4x12 cabinet, which is front loaded, so it's not overly bassy.

I have a 1979 2204 and I use a GE-7 EQ to shape the sound of it and boost it very slightly sounds great.

'78 JMP 100 w/Cameron HG/LG Jose mods and FX loop

I have a modded 78 JMP MKII 2204. Sounds wicked. A TC Electronic boost sounds great with these amps.

If i didn't know better i'd say that's Keiffer from HC.

*Smacks Hand* WTF were you doing over at HC? You have no idea where that place has been. Inside, right now. :gethim:

You'll be lucky if your man card doesn't have pimple juice on it.

Ill have a JMP 2204 in a few weeks

Of all the amps I've owned, the JCM800 2204 was my favorite, excited to get back in a Marshall!

the Keeley SD1 was my favorite boost

Okay, how many of you have tried the little JMP trick of turning your treble all the way off?

Try it. Sounds kinda cool. Something happens with the EQ, and it changes the sound of the amp. . .in a good/different way.

I have done this! I am a treble nazi anyway. When you open it up the speakers give you all the high end you need!
