I did not get along with the guy from Valley of the Sun. They toured with Truckfighters and we opened up for them in Youngstown, OH at this sweet bowling alley. As we were rolling in Mesa cabs, Dango walked up and asked about them. Apparently, they were having issues on tour with cabs being mismatched or blown (language barrier) and he asked to use our cabs for the night. I was honored, but the guy from VotS was offended. He got a DMM out and started measuring our cabs, saying he wasn't sure he wanted to use them, even though they weren't offered to him. You could tell Dango was sick of his shit by that point. We used our full stacks, then VotS used their own gear, and finally Truckfighters used my cabs. I was honored. Dango is an amazing guitarist and performer, and I like to believe he left some mojo in my Mesa Traditional straight 4x12 cab.

Definitely check out Truckfighters if you don't know them already. They played Gravity X in its entirety on that tour. That's a great album.

Ah, that’s shame to hear he was like that. I stumbled across VotS on Spotify and enjoyed their songs but I know nothing about the band generally. I’ll definitely check out Truckfighters - thanks for the heads up! Were you playing in Nodge or Wild Wings that night? Just Googled and found what I think is a write up of the gig you played.

Yeah, that was Nodge. That band was short lived. The drummer and I pivoted to Påthless after personnel issues. Påthless, ironically, played it's first show at the Westside Bowl opening for Firebreather even though we were barely ready to gig because Nodge couldn't do it.
