First day with the Shiva 20th. I'm really digging it at low volumes. Can't wait to play it at band levels. I'm no good at describing tones but it has more gain than expected and has the growl that I've been after. I guess it's the low mids thing going on. It has a vocal quality to it. Clean channel is great, very chimey. I thought the EVH clean was good, the Shivas clean is much more musical, not as stiff as the EVH. The head is bigger and heavier than expected.

Gratulation to your new amp. If you like the general voicing you will be very happy with the Shiva! This can be a long time companion for. The Shiva is so great (though differently voiced). As you said it has this vocal thing going on, that I love. Wait until you are able to crank it. You will be blown away!

Congrats!!! You can get a lot of tone mileage out of this amp depending on how you run the ch.vols/master. ie: master high/ch vols low...or ch vols high/master low.Try both ways.
