I'd like them in the G2 as well

Feels like we are going in circles here. So I'm going to explain it one more (last) time....
-you get the presets
-upload them on the MPX1
-play with them... get the fun...
-power on the G2
-edit a preset on the MPX1 to see how it's made
-rebuild it on the G2, using the same blocks routings, blocks fx and parameters values

is that ok?

I'm trying like hell to AVOID editing anything on a Lexicon piece of gear because it's IMPOSSIBLE to use that interface...horrible.

There YOU are making a huge mistake!
Don't get the smart phone/iPad subculture fool you.
Editing the MPX is very simple and definitely a pleasant work.
The interface is good... and editing YOU can learn a lot.
You don't want to edit? Fine... and will remain with "simple" sounds... to use a kind word.

Editing IS power. Don't let anything be an excuse.

I think for a luminary like you it is simple to edit, I doubt most users would agree with you though

You become a luminary by doin' things... not born as.
I have been editing for decades. Would I care about what most users think? Not really...
This current "myth" about UI in younger generations is seriously getting into a huge problem.
It's like the computer (Apple in particularly) subculture blah blah has turned any kid into an expert in IT, UI, bits and what not... losing the fun and joy to actually experience the things around you.
I don't care about UI. I just do things.
I am a musician and use A LOT of computers, Windows, Mac, Linux... on several machines around me... but I try not to get lost into "liquid" stuff.
See... I would never use and pay for anything that has a smart phone/tablet editor to which I, the end user, would be tied to edit the gear on a supposed nice UI... and no UI is available on the device itself.
Gee... that's total brain damage and full dependence from IT. Who's going to run iOS or anything like that in 30 yrs from now? My device won't be programmable anymore, no matter how nice your UI is.
I have machines here that go back 20, 25 evn 30 yrs ago, perfectly working, MUCH ahead of any current product and I can still edit them as a free man 'cuz they offer ME the tools to do that... on board.
An editor is nice, yes... but it shouldn't be the only way to use anything. Too dangerous and very limiting your rights to use something and really learn it.

I'm sure those users agreeing with this are the few ones bound to be the next luminaries.
Vision is what gives you future.

why have so many problems with programming a MPX? I don't get it

Had a MPXG2 and a MPX-1. Sounded great but absolute nightmares to program. The idiot who designed the GUI for them should be shot. I got rid of both of them.

I have less problems programming a Lexicon than working with an Axe-Fx

I purchased one April 2015, I wrote some notes down, so I don't forget anything

To tell the truth...
I had a G2 for a while when it came out and my memory is that is a bit more complex to program than the MPX1 as it has the guitar preamp and the footstomps "replica"... and the whole thing about routing the unit in a system.
Definitely more work, yes. But not the end of the world. As for that comment from that guy on UI... there you have an expert! He should tell us how an UI should be implemented on a modular platform (= mutant) like those units.
I'm always amazed at comments like those.

That's a nice guide you made Piero. I agree with you and Italo. I learned to program the 1 and G2 by turning it on and pressing buttons til I figured it out. For the little tricks and tips and such, I refer to the manual, but I was able to make a shimmer patch with reverb and pitch in the FB loop of the delay in about 5 minutes.

What I wish they (Lexicon) would have spent more time on is the annoying level issue in the Post amp/effects loop portion. No matter how I mess with the levels, it always lowers the dry level by 3dB (at least). My solution now is to run it stereo summed to mono in a Suhr MiniMix II, or sometimes as a W/D/W with the G2 "loop in" being fed by the slave output on my amp head and using the built in cab simulator to output the effects through the balanced L and R outputs on the back.

If I'm not wrong... that may be an issue they fixed in a later software release.
Both units had some problems... at first.

I have 1.1 in my G2, so I'm fairly certain that is the latest revision. My MPX-1 is the 1.0, and I'd argue it handles the levels better than the G2.

Yeah... the 1.1 version is what has fixed several starting issues.
The MPX1 had a V1.1 too, which I have on my unit. Works better than V1.0... definitely.
