Yeah, didn’t care for it either. Would still rather use a few, older classic choices for that kind of music. It seemed too much like a generic tone generator driven to saturation and highly filtered. Where was the character, it’s personality?
I felt like I was hearing the guitar equivalent of whatever software, snare sample is overused on metal albums.
Jason as always, played was on point.
I mean, hasn’t high gain really been perfected a couple of decades ago and this is just a way to keep amp markets going?
But then tell that to Gibson or Fender 😂

I agree. The other clip on the page before here sounded way better to me though. Check it out if you haven't. I think in these type of clips the guys like his riffs/playing and overall type of recorded sound he gets, so whatever he plays they'll say sounds great. They gotta isolate and listen more carefully to what the amp itself seems to be contributing to the package

I definately defer to the experts who a/b this. Who can deep dive. To give legit sounds and their analysis. I have no skin in the game. I am happy. That said I would NOT have said no to more clips when considering.

if you were wondering what it sounds like on rhythm with crab ubertone being lead using a cell phone.

And second if your curious one of the sounds an absolute amateur can do in 10 minutes with sm57s and a cab with those lcfr speakers.
