Yeah I appreciated the info. I still wanna try one later on if I get a chance and see what I think. As always I AB them with my benchmark favorite high gain amps that are hard to rival. It's about the journey for me trying to figure what (to me at least) are the very best gear items out thereSo I ended up getting one, we talked I had similar concerns. I didn't want like a driftwood.
Cleans listening to the video. It's reactive to pickups which plays a role. But it's a bit more than that. I gravitated towards the brilliant mode at first. But find the warm setting has a lot of what I was looking for in terms of feel/sound. Second the eq. Like I'm finding low treble high mid and right other settings. It didn't disappoint. That said it's not my favorite cleans. But it's up there.
The gain section. Similarly people are going to gravitate towards sounds they like here. The amp does extreme. The in between takes some work but does a good job. The right setting on bite switch, eq, guitar. You can get more out of it. Also the switches play a role. My noise gate buffers signal still which can affect. Cut does something as well to overall sound. It's great. And it's one part of the sound.
And the amp is easy for high gain dialing. It does other sounds. But it's hard because one millimeter in a knob turn is the difference between vintage and aggressive.
My two cents. Thought id share since we conversed on this a few months ago.
