Impressively tight considering he was playing straight in with no boost or EQ to tighten things up........:2thumbsup:

Sounds killer.
It so sounds good, but love the amp only starting at 2:53

"no talking, just riffs", guitarist ASMR

Sounds pretty badass!

I’m gonna be honest as always. While there was some nice high end aggression, like many recent made amps it sounded to me filtered/washed out, a bit synthetic, and lacking some detail. An amp like a Wizard also would’ve had more solid note distinction on those fast palm mutes. It reminds me a little of when I try most recent made boost pedals by these type of brands. The clean was also imho very lackluster. That being said clips only say so much and the amp will still remain on my to try list

I listened on shit computer speakers and Jason can make anything sound good. On my end it sounded like a XXX and a dual rectifier had a baby. Not a bad thing but not an amp I would drop that kind of money on. YMMV

I guess maybe if it were the red ch of the recto's. I just use the orange and don't hear much resemblance to that. I have to recall all these amps I don't like now LOL, but maybe it sounds to me like if the Driftwood was voiced brighter, leaner/thinner, tighter, and more grind-y (another cardboard-y, sterile, generic sounding amp)

So I ended up getting one, we talked I had similar concerns. I didn't want like a driftwood.

Cleans listening to the video. It's reactive to pickups which plays a role. But it's a bit more than that. I gravitated towards the brilliant mode at first. But find the warm setting has a lot of what I was looking for in terms of feel/sound. Second the eq. Like I'm finding low treble high mid and right other settings. It didn't disappoint. That said it's not my favorite cleans. But it's up there.

The gain section. Similarly people are going to gravitate towards sounds they like here. The amp does extreme. The in between takes some work but does a good job. The right setting on bite switch, eq, guitar. You can get more out of it. Also the switches play a role. My noise gate buffers signal still which can affect. Cut does something as well to overall sound. It's great. And it's one part of the sound.

And the amp is easy for high gain dialing. It does other sounds. But it's hard because one millimeter in a knob turn is the difference between vintage and aggressive.

My two cents. Thought id share since we conversed on this a few months ago.
