Finally finished is my Scalpel 50 2 channel. What do you think? It has an effects loop with send and return levels and single button footswitch for channels.

Love the high gain that still retains a lot of character. I know that’s just a throw down clip, but really like what I heard.

I wasn’t familiar with Lickliter, checked out some other builds clips. Definitely dig the overall sonic signature.

Also cool to have the man behind the amps posting here. Of course I don’t know anything about the circuit topology, but I’m definitely hearing tones that stand out in a good way.

Thanks for the replies! I appreciate the feedback on the amp. It is essentially a plate 4 stage preamp with a tube loop with send and return. My XD circuit is 4 to 5 stage with cathode follower
