You can get these in the US, but they’re much cheaper here. What I’m about to show you is the One Control Chamaeleo MKIi. There is a MkIII out which goes for about $350 plus another $30 for a power supply. Here in Japan, the unit is considerably cheaper at $200.
If you’ve heard of Mad Professor Pedals, that’s who designs most of One Control product line. Björn Juhl is the guy. One Control is a Japanese company that manufactured his designs.
This is one of the lower tier switchers but it is already packed with features.
- Programmable 5 loop switcher
- Choose between buffeted or buffered input
- Also serves as a power distribution
- Can support 4CM and simple amp channel switching. 1) can run all 5 loops into front of amp. 2) there’s interupt jacks between loops 4 and 5 which allow you to run loops 1-4 into the front and loop 5 in the FX loop. 3) you can sacrifice loop 5 and use it to switch you amp channels. 4) in my case I wanted to switch my amp and switch FX in my loop. I did the buy sacrificing another loop to use as an interupt for the 4CM. So loops 1 and 2 are for the front of the amp, loop 3 is used for my dedicated interrupt for the 4CM. Loop 4 is my FX loop and loop 5 switched my channels. It’s confusing because of the versatility.
- it also had a mute switch that sends to a tune. You only need a single cable for this because the tuner is not inline.
Made a little video. Still confusing but I can answer any questions. This is the Chamaeleo with a chorus and delay pedal I built. Goes into my ToneNerd Modded Marshall. Played with my roasted pine Jazzmaster inspired build and ToneNerd A2 P90s.
