Finally that time has come. I am preparing for an NCD, a new 4x12 cab for my Diezel Herbert and VH4s. Normally a Diezel cab would be the obvious choice but I have moved, and where I am now I do not have a lot of options (Diezel, Bogner, VHT out of the picture). Here are my options (all available Slant or Straight): Mesa Recto Oversized, Mesa Stiletto, ENGL Pro (v30s), Engl Standard (v60s), Marshall 1960 (v30s).

I am leaning towards the Stiletto but it's really expensive here (around 1700usd) so I wanted to make sure before I pay it up and see what you guys think.

Also, I will not be able to try them before buying.

Do yourself a favour and get a Diezel frontloaded cab :)

I would bet a Diezel cab could find you, if you contacted Diezel.

Out of what you listed, I'd take the ENGL cab because I believe those are front loaded.

Definitely not the mesa oversized cab. These are very boomy and Diezels have a MASSIVE low-end already so that will make it even more bass-heavy. I dont think you would want that. If you are crazy about getting a mesa cab, checkout a standard/traditional sized mesa 4x12 v30 - I think the stiletto cab should be the same as the recto standard, at least the straight version specs match on the official site.
I don't think the ENGL pro would be the best choice, they are good quality but notorious for being mid-scooped/"cold" so decide for yourself if you want that flavour. Better stay away from the v60 ENGLs, I only ever found them good with an ENGL Blackmore.

That leaves the Marshall 1960... you would be matching two premium top of the line amps with a medium-to-low range cab so that's "meh" but the herb and vh4 have so much power and punch they will easily beat a cab like that into submission and the 1960 doesn't cost that much either and is easy to lug around even solo. Don't expect tonal revelations but if you are absolutely limited to those choices you listed, try the 1960 and make do with it until you can get a Diezel or Bogner cab down the road.
I played a 1960AV with a vh4 for a while and it works; matter of fact I am selling it, PM me if interested I'm in EU.

Thank you Peter and everyone for taking the time and giving your opinions. I will definitely contact Peter to have an idea but the thing is anything that I will order from EU will go through crazy customs fees and whatnot. I've heard many horror stories about international shipping plus customs here sucks, they can hold items for too long sometimes. If I buy here then I willl have the additional option of having a 9 month payment plan which is always good. But in anycase I will see if it will be wise to order a Diezel cab.

I also had a 1960av before I had the 412FC. It's a good cab, but it has always been little too honky with any amp and had a unpleasant harsh treble projection. Most probably because of the slant form. But like always: your mileage may vary ;)
