I think I'm gonna use my VH4 for gigging but I have a car, so I need a 2X12 for easy transport. Probably go for a Diezel cab for continuity. Front or rear? I'm looking for warm, big, fatness for live only, I don't care how it records.

Does anyone stock these cabs, I've never seen them?

My vote goes to either of the following for a big live tone:

Mesa 3/4 Back 2X12 (I have 2 of these!)
Port City OS 2X12

I'm surprised it took 3 posts to get to the get a bigger car post. Nice....

I'm about to pull the trigger on an Orange closed back 2x12 with V30's...to me it sounded bigger than everything else in the same neighborhood.....

I would go with the Port City os 2x12. Tone Merchants has them.

im sold on voodoo cabs. I love the tone and won't go back to anything else

What model car is it? You'd be surprised what a 4x12 can fit in - my '96 LT1 formula fits one, and my little mazdaspeed3 can take even an oversized mesa 4x12 with no problem at all.

If you have to go 2x12, the oversize bogners and the g-flex cabs sound massive.

I'd give a look at Mills Acoustics. I hear nothing but positive reviews.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking the same. I get my head, 4X12 cab, rack case, floor board, two guitars and a passenger into my wrangler for gigs, lol. Its kind of like a clown car. That said, I would like to add a bogner 2X12 cab down the line, they're great.

BMW 5 Series. Which a 4X12 fits in the trunk but then everything else has to go in the back seat, which I don't like. I use to gig in the car with a Marshall head and a Mesa 2X12 and they both and my pedal board fit in the trunk. But I'm really thinking I want a Diezel 2X12 to match the VH4. Does anyone have experience with their 2X12's? Rear or front loaded? Looking for a big warm tone not concerned with how it records.

??

If you want ultra portable, Id get two port city ported 1x12 cabs and run them stereo. It will sound fat as hell, they are easy to lug around and you can seperate the cabs for a wide stereo spread sound.

If you just want a 2x12 then a Port city 2x12 should be just fine. id recommend the O/S port city cab but they are a bit big IMHO.

I use 1 ported front loaded Earcandy 2x12 cab for my live gigs but given the problems people are having with EC cabs, I can't recommend them.
With that said a good ported 2x12 cab sounds huge IMHO.

As far as I know their new 2x12s are oversized, I'd check with Duolos. If this is the case I doubt you can fit it in your trunk with your amp, OS 2x12s are probably only 6" smaller than 4x12s.

When we hook up I have a Diezel 2x12 - though I think it's unloaded. So, we could drop some speakers in that you like and you could try it out. I'm almost positive it is rear loaded.

I really like the CAA (Suhr) ported 2x12" with Gov's, really liked the Orange 2x12" as well, but between the 2 I thought the Suhr sounded bigger and sweeter.

Yeah, the Port City 2x12 OS is the biggest and best sounding 2x12 I have ever heard. Just feels like sound is everywhere with amazing dispersion. It has a great bottom end that doesn't feel like there is just a bump; it feels extended.
