ive played one.
tweaking is not what i enjoy for one, secondly it has no balls, punch, thump, rattle the organs in your chest/make you say wow, and 3 - i didnt like the feedback from it - the give and take a regular tube preamp has when moderately cranked. it felt like i was playing a modeler, which ironically is exactly what it is. not only do you have to spend countless hours dialing in modeled tones that sound great, it still "felt" like i was playing my vypyr, only with more menues, more choices, and better modeling tone - but also $1600 more expensive. i dont believe the tonal difference is worth it by a long shot.
why would i make such a strong judgement without playing one? at $2,000 my expectations bar and critiquing level goes sky high. like i said before, it is grossly overrated on this forum. it is good at modeling, and that is all it is good at. nothing else...
