I love my Eternity. I run it several ways: As a clean boost for my dirty channel, a bluesy grind through the clean channel, or gain cranked through the clean channel.
Unlike most TS's/od's the Lovepedals are actually usable throughout the whole gain range.
You have an OCD right? How does it compare to that? Is it different enough for one to easily justify owning both?
Yeah, definitely worth owning both. The Eternity has similarities to a TS, but is much clearer and open sounding. It doesn't "squeeze" your tone as much as an 808 and it isn't harsh at all like a TS9 can be with the tone up. Works great as a boost, but also great as it's own gain source.
The OCD is a completely different animal. More like an amp in the way that it responds and the dynamics are crazy.(as in good

) I find that I like the OCD as a mild bluesy drive mostly for chording. I don't like it as much for boosting an already overdriven amp. Some people swear by it as a boost. I was unhappy with it at one point because it doesn't have the mid hump that most of my other drive pedals have, and I was trying to use it with the gain cranked for playing leads. IMO, that's just not what the OCD is all about. It's a great low gain pedal and has that realistic tube amp grit and sparkle, but there are pedals that are much better for a middy singing lead tone
