Lynch trying a Diezel Hagen..... funny

Seemed he was fighting the guitar more than the amp. Not an amp for me but I think the gloves, Guitar and player have a lot more issues and not the amp. From what I have seen from other players GL is doing more harm in that vid for diezils. GL seemed better back in the Dokken days and to me is just going down hill. Come on how old is he and he is dressing like a teen on 21 jump street and holding on to a 20 something year old guitar model of a past dream. Kinda pitiful :aww: :gethim:

yea, that's my take too. whatever he was fighting he was using the whammy bar to try to slay it.

Hagen gives up fighting when I take my extra heavy tile

Sorry for the NAMM chaos, I think I will come over next year, rent
a sound room and share some beers with You Guys while expecting

How much Koolaid do some of you guys drink? Or is it hooked up to an IV drip?

Lookpout, you'll get the Diezel guys stirred into an uproar. My last comment applies to anything from NAMM. Most gear demo's from there suck.

I could be wrong but I think Jim is referring to the 'noodling' being hard on the ears...not the amp.

Seemed like he was fighting that amp the whole time. Maybe it's just me.

I agree totally but Im not really familiar with his work TBH. It seemed like the amp wasn't forgiving enough for him.

George's sound he hears in his head is obviously a 68 Marshall. Maybe he should hook up with Pete Thorn and try John Suhr's SL 68 amp?

HE was not fighting that amp, plenty of vids where he is fighting amps and this was not one of them imo.

I thought the amp sounded great for a NAMM recording, the Hagen is very nice Peter

Great idea. That would be the best thing to do Peter.

I couldn't listen to the clip - I couldn't get over all the makeup Lynch was wearing :D

Bingo! I really dig Lynch but that was like Guitar Center any day of the week . And granted he probably was just noodling and not out to give a kickass performance but ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :aww:

The only fair assessment that can be made based on that video is that Lynch was having an off moment. The worst thing about this video is that it may be someones first exposure to Diezel or Lynch and could lead to them not looking any further into either.

The only thing that i liked about that video is demonstrating just how tight the Hagen is, and it shows that it does not matter how awsome you once were - everyone is still human....... except paul gilbert...........he can play through anything, at anytime, and still sound awsome

I had already made up my mind that I didn't want/need a Hagen. Not different enough from anything else I have to justify the purchase. Then I played this exact same Hagen at NAMM. :bash: :bash:

Edit: No disrespect intended to Sensei Lynch, but I think that amp sounded better when MightyWarlock and I were playing it.

that was weird - lol.

This +1.

GL is one of my fav players of all-time... but it sounded like he was playing some constipated jazz passages? WTF? Power chords man, do you know them?

You can not judge much from that video cause the volume was so low, the background noise was so loud, and it's hard not to be distracted by thos fingerless gloves? Double WTF? Was it that cold in there? :loco:
