Lynch trying a Diezel Hagen..... funny

Just saying, Im not a pro player, don't make a living at it but when I try out an amp I find a guitar that feels great un plugged and play some songs and leads the way I would in front of anyone.

People look at these vids to get an idea if they want it or not. You can't go unto Guitar Center and try a Dezil, Solando or Bogner xtc. Youtube might be the best vids but if you like the tone through the vid most likely you will luv it in person.

Something is going on with GL. The change of appearance, he is one bottle of Clairol hair color away from being a Cindy Lauper look a like. Maybe he is realizing he is getting old and trying to hold onto the 80's and can't do anything else. What ever it is he is an artist in the public eye and chose that life style and people expect him on his game 24/7, thats how he makes his money, fan support him.

The way he was carrying that 80's style guitar around he should have ripped it up , it is not like he was handed a guitar or pick up one and couldn't jive with it. I think thats why so many feel he should have been playing better. Really all those years of experience and he plays like that.

As for the Amp, I have heard a few clips from players on this forum that sounded awesome.

Dude, think about it, HE'S 57!!!!!!!

at 57, i hope i'm still somewhat relevant musically.

Again, GL at 57 > G.I. period.

Old hell he is not old look at Les Paul he was still jammin and he was not wearing fingerless gloves. GL seems like he's grabbing onto the 1980s. Just as pathetic as David Lee Roth

I agree, he was just trying out an amp, noodling and listening, not performing.

Horribly bad sounding sounding clip is horribly bad. Not much more to draw from it than that.

You guys are smart to keep this type of conversation here, if any word of kool aid or any other negative adjective were to appear on one of the 1000 VH threads well then prepare for enabler filled abuse :scared:  :(

It's a dude noodling around trying out an amp...no need for him to play note-for-note Dokken solos. Cut the guy some slack.

Listen, when I see someone like Gene Simmons demoing a new bass at NAMM I expect the full experience. I want the 7" demon platforms with eyes glowing, bat cape, full makeup, and him ending the demo spitting blood all over shit while posing like Nixon.

do we have the same lame discussion everytime after a NAMM??

this thread has officially de-railed!

the dude was trying out an amp for goodness sake!...who gives a shizer what he played...as far as i can tell, it sounded fine. was it guitar heroics, no. was it a dude wanking around with an amp...yep. it's a namm video....just like 1trillion other namm videos,

This pretty much summs it up, like what Mark (Day) wrote 12 month ago....

There's something to be said about illusion. 25-30 years ago we didn't have YT. We never got to see the human part of our heros. I have seen ALL of my heros on YT screwing up and sounding HORRIBLE. In the 70's and 80's we had albums with pictures(maybe), our heros sounded perfect on record. When we went to see them live we were young, excited and there was no instant replay at home on YT to pick them apart.

Now we see them noodling and farting around...like we do in our basements or bedrooms. Then because they kinda sound like us...humans, we nail them to the cross.

do you know where I can find some new VH clips? I looked and looked and I can't find them

I don't care for GL in general and agree with the gloves etc. but honestly I found a lot of interesting things he did in that clip. How many of you listened to the whole thing? I really thought he did a lot of cool licks etc. and thought the amp sounded pretty good as well.

i dont know if i posted this b4 or not....but

to quote a tweet from Zeena from liquid metal recently last week:

Steve Vai?? Did you watch the wrong video or are you trying to make a bad stereotype??

After going back and watching again, I can't fault George at all.

Seems he doesn't really like the Diezels and is just being polite.

"Thing about the Diezels is they're fizzy. Not sweet like my '68 Plexi".

Sorry folks. :aww:
