First off watts are not decibels.

If you have direct experience with the Univalve live I don't deny it. There is a lot of variables.
But if your experience is with other amps with similar numbers you might want to actually try the Univalve. I have never heard of anyone not getting enough dB's in the room when using a appropriate cab. Even running clean I never had a problem keeping up with the loudest drummers.
Everyone's experience is different and subjective.
 
No, speaker efficiency (plus basic SPL math) converts one to the other.

It's neither different nor subjective. It's engineering.

Experience, yes. It's a low power non-gigging amp so of course I don't have gigging experience with it.

Every clown with a 12 watt amp thinks his is special, but *surprise* it's not and the laws of physics apply to your amp too.
