Chase all the new amps you want, try all the new fiddles you can get your hands on, NOTHING beats a Charvel into a Marshall for me. Get the right guy to work on a SLP, mess with the Charvel some and man it is just rock the way it is always meant to be. Nothing beats that thoaty Marshall bark and roar with a Charvel with a dirty worn in neck. Brings you back to a time when your playing mattered, it was just you and your drive to bring the heat that one night when it really mattered.

Yeah I will be getting other fiddles and another amp or two but they will be Marshalls and Charvels with an Ibby for good measure.

Shit, tell me have Mr Warren D explain this as he can do it better than I could.

Just get to the 1:58 part

Shit..yeah I know Warren is playing his Performance guitar

They stole the design from Charvel so close enough :D

Carl, you will like the Charvels for the price. Just tweak them and nail the neck with a tad of 0000 wool.

My Anderson Drop Top into the Fortin is doing it for me. Funny how i plugged into a Boogie Mark V today and i hated it   Damm, things have changed. The Marshall into Heritage H30's kicks ass.

But. For clean tones with a strat. I found a Boogie Lonestar for 800 bucks. For clean tones it's great. I'm still trying to get along with the dirt channel. And i played a Boogie Roadking combo today as well..............i fucking hated it.

I re-tubed the IV since I smoked two tubes 1/2 year ago and the thing came up on R2............................sounded like a transister radio next to the Fortin   I still dig the liquid leads of the lead channel but the Fortin came get liquid but has more girth to the tone.

It is one of the best and most important sounds in rock/metal. I never got into the 'glam' scene, but I love a lot of 80s-early 90s stuff(AIC, Queensryche, early Pearl Jam, GNR, Soundgarden, Deth, Tallica, etc)
From that era, this tone does it for me:
(1:30 it kicks in, 3:19 good stuff!)

Man, I miss DeGarmo. Since he left, I can't think of anything significantly great that they've done. :(

Hey Scott. Here's my local hero who i have posted about before. He used nothing but Marshall's, LP's, Strats, but he had a parts caster with a Floyd. I'm telling you, live, he sounded as good as anyone I've ever heard. His tone was incredible back in the day and his playing was flawless.

I think they used ADA-1s though :D

I saw the Mindcrime show in Chicago, best glam show I had ever seen.

Never announce that your gas is over. It just makes it that much worse when the gas comes back as it always does, in like a week, and your gasing for something else. I was playing my Charvel through my Marshall tonight and thinking the same thing, but I didn't say it! Shhhhh   I have to say the Les Paul through the Marshall is a pretty mean sound as well. Hows about this:

Just ask Dave how loud that band was. I could never talk to sluts when they played

Wilton's tower of power!!! :D

They started with Fender and Marshall, but like everyone else who has the money, they tried just about everything. But you always come back to the comfort zone!

Wow...things have changed! I'll tell you what, if it wasn't for you and Scott (Ralph, Psychodave, Daren Stroud and a few others) I would still be doing the Mark thing. I love Mark series amps but have really started to grow into a different type of player lately. I seem to be returning to my rock roots and just not listening to or playing metal anymore. The IIC+ will be shipping next week to its new owner. I can't say I'll miss it just yet. I haven't felt inspired by it at all which I know sounds crazy. Mike Fortin has been great to work with thus far. Can't wait for my Cali modded Marshall JCM800 to return home!!! Sounds like it is right up my alley.

As promised, tons of clips will be coming when the amp gets here. I will try and do a wide variety of clips to show of its versatility.

Although, grab a Tube Screamer or other dirt box and plug it into an Electra Dyne. You might be suprised.
