Sounds like you need to invest in a couple pairs of these...

Had no idea these were lighter. Thanks!

I always see these lites and never give them any thought. I'll pick one up next time I see one at the store. Thanks!
Yeah the Les Paul Studio Lites came out mid to late 90's. Think they had a handful of transparent colors - Blue, Red, Sunburst etc... Hardware was black as well and of course the ebony fretboard. I always thought they looked really cool and shoulda bought one back in the day but that was before I went on my Les Paul binge. Some of the guitar body was made with balsa, no kidding.

Here is one for example on Reverb - https://reverb.com/item/93631238-gibson-les-paul-studio-lite-1990-1998-cherry-sunburst

How much, exactly, does it weigh @phillybhatesme ?

I gig regularly with 9 and 10lb les pauls, but used to gig with a 12 pound Norlin pancake black beauty back in the day

IME almost all problems with guitar weight are either 1. You have existing back problems/issues or 2. You are using the 10$ ernie ball strap you got with your squier affinity series beginner package at walmart

No, in all seriousness, have you got a nice strap? It helps a ton with weight distribution

I used to judge those who thought LPs were heavy. Now I'm just old.
FWIW, my Trad Pro V has a much beefier strap on it and the guitar never feels as heavy, so I might try another strap as well.
I have like 4 or 5 heavy guitars (LP's, Explorers ect.) and I use nothing but Italia Leather Straps. 4" wide and the softwest leather you ever feel for a strap. I can play my heavy guitar for 2-3 hours no problem with these. Every once in a while they have a 2 for 1 or buy one get 50% off sale and that's when I buy them. Worth every penny.

Yeah I feel I have like a sub 8 or around 8ish Les Paul and the other one is like 10 or 11 pounds big difference.....

I have to take an advil after playing the heavy one but the 8ish pound one feels like a feather by comparison.

Nice color on that Studio. I never seen one like that. Are Studios that heavy it's causing you back issues? What kind and size strap are you using? The newer ones with neck binding are in the upper 7lbs to 8lbs range. I had one. Nice guitar until I removed the control cavity plate. A fucking circuit board. It was immediately returned.

I ended up with 9.7lb Gibson Slash November Burst LP. Phenomenal right out of the box. I have shoulder and lower back issues and that guitar doesn't have any impact on me.

My heaviest is just over 8lbs. I had a 9lb Ibanez SZ2020, but it was gigged for 1 hour or less shows. So, I don't know if it would have caused me issues. When I was a teen, I had a 14lb Norlin Era LP. That thing was a beast! It caused an indentation on my left clauvicle...

I have an SG for when I want light but still that Gibson tone.

Two quick points:
(1) If you're playing a Gibson LP, especially one that isn't chambered, it weighs a tonne. Comes with the body shape. My ESP RZK-II also tips the scales at too heavy,
(2) See if you can a strap like this. I find the padding alleviates the weight problem. But it's not a "fix everything" solution, because of Point 1.

Never weighed it actually and wanted to give you an answer so just took it to the scale. The studio weighs 9.4 pounds. 100% agree with you about the strap. I have a much nicer strap for my other LP and it indeed makes a huge difference. I'll get a different strap for this guitar.

Nice! I've seen these before and have a Levy's strap for one of my other guitars. Definitely need to get something nice like this, thanks!

Just weighed this one and it's 9.4 pounds. The strap I was using is definitely a problem. I'll get a nicer/wider strap cause I really like this guitar.
It's a 2016 model in Silver Sparkle Metallic. I really dig the color too, thanks.

9.4 pounds isn't all that heavy for an LP man - I would suggest looking for and trying out some different straps, for sure.

That ought to help out the weight distribution

To me anything less than 9lbs doesn't feel proper for a LP. And i don't honestly feel much difference between 9.5 & 10.5 in weight.
I do noticed the chunk size or lack there of in the neck carve.
