He was nice enough to comment on my marshall code amp tone to be what he figured it was.

It was an honor to have such a credible and knowledgeable source such as the Danster, to elaborate on the tone from my clip.

I remember I started some thread about a Jeff Hanneman amp on the Marshall forum to share some pics and info about Jeff's amps. Then all of a sudden this guy posts and starts calling me a spammer and a shill for Mark Cameron and calling me by my first name.

I thought at first it was one of Mark's friends or someone I knew messing with me but low and behold it turned out it was Charvel Dan. Had no idea really who he was till that thread and it really creeped me out. In fact I think he got banned over it but they let him back.

Like I said I been trading and selling gear for close to 20 years, not too many problems and all of a sudden I see him trying to call me out and I don't even know the guy nor have ever done business with him but like I said... totally creeped out by it.

So fucking this. I don't go to the Marshall forum, so banning him here would put him out of most people's range. I am sure he will get banned there, by calling out long time members per above example. At least he isn't able to post 70 political memes a day anymore here. He needs to go.

Yes, I own a few of Jeff's personal guitars that I got from him. I got lots of people over the years that I made as friends over these forums and without the connections I made on the internet me getting a lot of this gear would have been impossible. Most of you guys are awesome but I also attracted a few haters and or "stalkers". One of the first guys I remember was some guy that kept trying to come over and play my "Lars" kit after my personal info got posted accidentally on a Ebay auction for the kit that I won back in 03 or 04...


but whatever.

Mark and I are still friends and we have a loyal customer base. Anyone who has dealt with me can vouch that amps have been delivered 100% of the time. I also have been in touch with a few of MC's old customers just to help them either keep tabs of their amps or any update if I can or get things up to date with servicing or repairs.

I do hope there are big things from Mark I can announce in the future but for now I will state that Mark is doing the best he can and trust me the guilt hurts him from the CCVs in the past and he really wants to make things right.

That's all I will say about him for now. It's not really my place to speak for him.

I have never been interested in his amps but have read the many sagas written on here about him. I am truly sorry for all who have lost money to the guy. For me his amps are overly compressed, but that is just my taste. Maybe he was not born to be a business man and should have stayed an amp tech. With his skill set, he could have been a guy like Mike Fortin etc. It is a shame that now he has a tarnished reputation and that some folks hate him.

Second chance...... he's been given a multitude of chances. We've heard this same shit over and over on how he's sorry, things have changed, it'll be different this time around, blah blah blah. He's fucked up his name and reputation so bad that'll it would take two lifetimes of being a stand up guy to repair the damage. Maybe there some fools that would still send him an amp but no one in their right mind would.... especially for getting an amp back that's just average at best.

With Mike Fortin doing essentially what Cameron did (I'm talking amp work... not being a scumbag) why give 2 fks about someone who isn't really "available" anymore?

Psychodave used to have a Fortin modded Marshall clip up along with his Cameron Jose Marshall clip. The Fortin seemed a bit more modern sounding than the Cameron, so they're not exactly alike. FWIW

Yeah, Fortin is in the more modern camp. Which isn't a bad thing IMO. It's 2017, not 1982. Time to get rid of the lycra tights and glitter already.
