what value would you use 50uf or 100uf... can you hear and feel the difference?

On the PI in a 100 watt Marshall with 50uf the amp will have less backbone that with the standard 100uf filtering. Some of the early plexi Marshalls had 64uf on the PI but they ended up going to 100uf sometime in 68 and stayed with that filtering on all 100 watt models.

You can try 50uf and see if you like it but I preferred 100uf versus 64uf in my 68 plexi.

I think you will find the amp more immediate and punches better with 100uf.

I paralleled the positive terminals of the filter cap today... it feels just a tad firmer on the bottom, great pushback. Its not drastically different. Its just a little different. Hard to tell but maybe it gives the impression of more mids ? and the 50uf might seem a little scooped?
