I bought a Marshall 6100LM after reading good reviews. I was comparing it to my Boogie and when I used the amps together, the fat lady was singing. l’ve been a guitar player forever and it was a little shocking to me how incredible it is to be living in stereo.

I have a 4X12 cabinet that I will wire for stereo. I have EV & Celestion 16 & 8 ohm speakers. I like the mix so I am thinking 16 ohms for the Marshall on the enclosed side, EV lower and 8 ohms on the open side EV upper Boogie side. Thoughts?

I also have a Boogie Fillmore 75, 8 ohm that I could use. The Celestions are MC90’s 8 ohm and G12T75’s 16 ohm, the nice vented ones from the ‘80’s.

I like the mismatch ohms idea as I have many other cabinets.

Now that you like what you hear with that rig, understand that now you have no choice but to grab a power amp, and run a W/D/W setup with a quality rack FX unit...run a line out from the Marshall and the Mesa into each input of a stereo FX unit like a Lexicon MPX1 (big rabbit hole here, lots of amazing FX options) stereo out from the FX into each side of whatever power amp you choose (295, S 400 etc) and out into 2 more cabs and you will NOT want to play into anything less from then on. Sure, its ok to play just the dry amps from time to time but you'll go back to the huge sound of the whole rig. Each amp has it's own dry cab, and the FX is stereo out to 2 wet cabs. HUGE.

I'll get a Mimiq, I watched some videos and it seems like a good thing to have. Great advice, thank you for that.

I have a few power amps, a Boogie 50/50 & a Strategy 400.

yeah its seriously awesome with two amps, you wont want to play without it again, its like having yourself as the other guitar player

I've had the Mimiq for a week and I must say it does what it is supposed to do and does it well. I like it best with #3 on the toggle switch.

Since the Marshall left, I've been using the Mimiq with my Boogie stereo rig. I won't be able to use it at practice until next week so the guys in the band haven't heard it yet.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Mimiq!

i dont think i ever used it on three, i think mines on 1 and i just send each out to an amp
