marshall jcm 900 sl-x 50 watt

I am looking for this amp.

I used to own it back in the day, and I loved it. Unfortunately, I had to sell it while on hard times.

I want to be able to post in member classified, but I guess I don't have enough post here yet. So in a way this belongs in classifieds, and also an attempt to stimulate my posts lol.

Anyone else have experience with this amp? How do you like it?

I've always wanted to play an SL-X, but haven't come across one yet. I ran a JCM900 for a few years with my band, but it was the 4100 Dual Reverb. I liked the gain channel with the gain knob maxed, but I had to boost it just a little farther to get what I wanted from it. Good hunting!

I had one, thought it had a buzzy tone. Liked my DSL 50 WAY better!

I've played one at full tilt. It definitely has the Marshall mojo, but is a bit of a one trick pony. YMMV.

If you are looking for a good heavy Marshall tone, or an 80's tone..the SL-X shines. Just don't expect a great clean channel...and they really need to be cranked up. Keep it down on the "sensitivity" gain knob.
