Marshall jmp from 1978

Seller claims it was not tinkered with and states those holes seem to be original.
Can this be true? Did Marshall really sell jmps like this? Normally those four inputs should have been wired...

That´s a master volume model with two drilled holes, not a non-master four-holer.
