Marshall JVM210H Incoming - Mods?

I had a JVM 410 modded with a MM Choke, OT and PTthat sounded awesome . I took it and my CCV (Cameron built not the Brad version) to a mini ampfest that also had a 5150, Fortin Natas, and Jason’s Evil Pumpkin. The JVM hung with them and was a top choice for a couple people. Not sure why I ever sold that amp.
Boom!
Y’all need to lighten up on the JVM’s.
That’s just too much for an amp to process and perform in those various changes/stages with the supplied transformers and not cost effective for Marshall to go the MM FULL route.
Mhenson don’t f*ck around and is on point once again.

Ironically, herds of multi-channel amps suffer from TOTT’s..?
Taxed out the transformers.
That’s where the NUT in the cost is.

The only way I got jvm to sound good was gain on 2 and master volume on 7 or 8 . There so much gain 2 was enough

where the hell do i find this mod?? thanks
No clue, I think it's just some different resistor values but I'm about as techless as you could get. As @John 14:6 said above, he had his done by a tech. OD1 Orange or (amber as I called it) is just straight up modded Marshall tone. The other thing I like about OD1 Orange is for me, it's my rhythm and lead tone...i just use the dual master as a boost for lead. And I ride the guitar volume knob constantly between cleaning up for rhythms or full on gain. So I can make the amount of gain work for me...I've always been able to do that with my high gain amps. I'm not sure how much guys use the guitar volume to clean things up these days though. Maybe you can still find the mod info on the JVM Marshall Forum.

In fact I would love to get my OD2 on he 410 modded to OD1, that would provide more flexibility for my needs.

Ya i dont understand the hate on this amp either. Maybe im just lucky but my 205h is a absolute monster and feels great under the hands as well... Plus all the functions of it make it the ultimate gigger..

No hate from me on the 205 and 210, they're great amps. I love JVM's, my only wish is that they had used the setup from OD1 on the 205 and 210. That said If I owned them and didn't want to bother with the mod I have no doubt I could dial in a ripping tone, I'd be fine.
Btw/ there is a an eq setting on a Boss GE-7 that can mimic the OD1 without modding. See if you can grab that off the old JVM forum.

Further my 410's are totally stock. I've had one with pretty much the kitchen sink mods, had a Satriani model and I prefer the stock ones.

everything you said in the first post is true, sounds like SS at gig volume couldnt be more accurate, has too much gain and no balls orange and red, if I was you would have just bought a dsl 2000 all around better amp IMO
same here

Unfortunately, the Marshall JVM Forum is no longer around and the links I had to the mod work details do not work anymore. You could probably find the information on the Marshall Amp Forum, and I believe the JVM inventor Santiago Alvarez is still a member. Santiago was always very helpful and could probably provide you the details if you PM him. Or if you start a thread asking about the OD2 to OD1 conversion I am sure someone else will know. As I recall it just involved changing out a couple resistors.

I have a 205H, like it a lot, but I just got a GE-7 and played with it last night for the first time. I used it as a boost into the OD channel and I think I have discovered a grail, maybe the holy one!

All stock 2021 60s Les Paul Std - 205H - 1960A w/G12T-75s.

how did you run the EQ?!

I gave the GE-7 a little mids bump into the boost area and let the highs and lows sink a little into the cut area to start and played around with that a bit. So I boosted what frequencies I wanted and used that to push the input. I think there are a lot of possibilities with this. I didn’t want to mod everything right away with this new rig, like pickups and speakers, etc. until I had it a while and got to know it. The GE-7 might save some time and money. We’ll see…
