Just got done playing for 2.5 hours, need to go to bed. Pretty awesome so far. I want to fuck Miranda already.

I'm pretty bummed. I was 100% sure my character in ME1 was at level 60.. I was wrong, level 59 with about 80k exp to go on Ilos :-(

I have a couple saved games from the first ME...one I completed the game with..the second one I started over with the same character and tried to play all evil

can you choose which character data you want to import from the first game?

I think you can only import a completed game. And vultures, I was pissed too. I was on level 49 with my character.

I don't think the level of your character translates over or means anything does it? I thought it was more about the story. For instance, i ran into Helen Blake in Omega because i did some side missions for her in the first game. I think things like that will keep popping up and you wouldn't get to see that if you didn't do the first game.

There's a lot of recognizeable voices in the game already.

Did you get into Dragon Age Origins? I was about 20 hours into that game but i know Mass Effect 2 is going to take over my time from it. It's going to take me a while to finish these games because i just don't have as much free time.

I'm in the exact same boat. About 20 hours into Dragon Age but already loving Mass Effect 2 so much more. Hoping I can balance mixing my album and playing ME2 lol.

You might get more bonus stuff depending on your level, but I'm not sure. I got a bunch of credits (either 10,000 or 100,000...I forget which it was ) and +2500 of all the metals along with some other stuff for importing my character.

this game fucking rocks...a good balance from what made the first one so good with the addition of new game play mechanics and some presentation, characters with rocking story and visuals....

a progression in the series, but not so much that you don't recognize it if you were a fan of the first one....bioware obviously worked their nuts off on this one!

Are you guys having any issues with the game? I still have my original 360 so it might be acting up. Whenever i try to go to Korlos to rescue the Krogan it tells me to insert disc 1. I insert it and nothing happens. I'm also getting occasional disc read errors. I guess i need a new DVD drive?

haven't gotten that far where I needed to switch the disc..if you're getting disc read errors the RROD may be right around the corner...do you know someone close who has the console? maybe a beat disc?

If i load disc 1, nothing happens. I have to load disc 2 to start the game, then sometimes it tells me to install disc 1, when i do, nothing happens.

I think I'm pretty close to nailing Miranda. The line Shepard used about just trying to get her into bed was hilarious. Also was pretty funny when Jack said something about Cerberus letting her whore around the galaxy in that outfit of hers. They should have made her alternate outfit something even sluttier though.
