I love my Gibsons and my Superstrats ..... but dam if every Mayones guitar I see doesn't scream to me that I need something on the " modern " side of things ...

anything bad about these beasts I should know about ...

cause I've got my eye on a Duvell Elite 6

I love the Duvell's. My LPC and R8 were shipped off after I got my first Mayo because I stopped playing them for the most part. lol

I have 2 Duvell's now but I've owned 5 or 6 of them. All have been great. Only sold the ones I did to get the current ones with my preferred cosmetics. Love the Schaller-Hannes bridge too.

Here's my favorite one...

insanely cool !!

I've been gassing for a Vidius. I wish they still made those. I would have ordered one and sold a testicle to pay for it.

I love mine as well. I played LP Customs for years (and wish I kept one). But after getting a few Mayos, off they went. I've had a bunch as well. Still have my Duvell Elite 6 Master Builder and have a custom shop order in progress.

yeah .... those pics aren't going to help me gas down at all ..... lol ... friggin gorgeous guitars !!!

I've played with 4 Mayones Duvells and owned 2, all of which were amazing instruments. I still have this beast - one of the best guitars I've ever played.
I am not familiar with other models but the Duvells are epic - Not only is the craftsmanship to die for, but the tones are articulate and tight. If you like these models, go for it even if you can't play them beforehand. I can guarantee you will like em if you are looking for a modern instrument that can rival almost any guitar. I got tons of videos playing these guitars - let me know if you'd like me to share some.

Holy shit that top ....................

It is just me, or do the necks look really wide on these? Not sure I would like that over the standard ESP thin U, but I've always lusted after Mayones on looks alone. I like this signature baritone they have:

Mayones make great guitars. I love the Regius but it comes standard in ash body while the duval comes standard mahogany body which I like better.

One option to check out that May be a little cheaper but on par is Skervesen. They are also a Poland company and used to work at Mayones before spinning off to form their own company. I’ve had 4 builds from them. This was my latest custom from them, a 4AP with custom 24.75” scale length, custom inlays and Tom Anderson pickups.

I have a Setius 7 and Regius 7 from 2012 and 2013, very nice guitars. My Regius is someone else’s custom shop job with a kahler (which I blocked).

Very nice guitars, I hear the newer ones stepped it up a bit from when mine are from. I actually haven’t played either in a little while, I’ve been stuck on a partscaster strat I put together late last year. They both need a full setup, maybe I’ll do that this weekend

Skervesen are more expensive than a Duvell... They are also a pain to deal with. I recently tried ordering a custom shop Skervesen and gave up out of frustration and ordered a Mayo. The way they (Skerv) communicates leaves a lot to be desired. They lost two sales from me just because of their bad attitude.

I noticed the Regius I checked out online was neck thru .... which I love ....

but the body shape of the Duvell is where it's at for me ......it had a gorgeous bolt on neck .... are they all bolt on for those ??? if anyone knows ?

Duvells are all bolt on and sound a lot better than the Regius IMO. Older Duvells have a 6 bolt attachment, newer ones have 4
