Hey guys I just wanted to hear from anyone who has ordered a Mcnaught over the past couple years or so. Some of you know Ive been going back and forth with Jackson on placing a custom order, there comunication is so slow and the chances of them making a mistake is about 50/50.... I'm looking at Mcnaught now as my next choice.

Ive heard some good things about them and just wanted to see what the word on Rigtalk is. I would probably go for a neck through soloist style which would be the DJ+ it looks like. Thanks for any info on there build quality and wait time.

I hear his guitars are up there with the best in the world.

OUTSTANDING customer service! Great guitars. Dave always take the time to discuss all of your ideas and options.

That is a guitar someone I know ordered and will arrive soon.

I had a Phoenix years ago, but sold it because it just didn't work ergonomically for me when I played standing up. That aside, it sounded and played great, and the quality was extremely high. I've since played other guitars that suit me more tonally and ergonomically, but I really can't say anything bad about the one I had.

I have ordered quite a few from David. He's a first class guy to work with.

Cool , that's good to hear fellas ! Thanks for the info , I'm in contact with McNaught now , working on getting a quote. He says wait time is only 4 months ,that's dope !

How much is a DJ+?

His guitars by far have the nicest tops and finishes I've ever seen.

Dave is one of the absolute best guys out there to deal with...without a doubt. He is always straight up with you and builds a FANTASTIC guitar!! I have had a few of htem over the years....they are just KILLER guitars! (especially the VSC's)

This one he built a custom faceplate for the Splawn that was from the same wood as the top of my Phoenix
