Hi Olaf looks great .
minus a few bells and whistles and the PCB build style is this close to the the noire/blanc on the site .
is this 4 stage crunch 5 stage lead?

Cheers!!!

It is mostly to check out the transformers, Sean. The circuitry is the same as in the Noire/Blanc PCB (which is currently manufactured) and I wanted to see how far I can go gain-wise. Crunch has three stages, the third channel five, which is a PITA to layout without getting a whistler inside :D

But it sounds pretty cool so far. I've added a gainpot for the Cleanchannel, which is wired like a var. resistor to drop some signal before entering the loop to adjust humbuckers to stay clean, but I guess that I will later just use a switch for that. The clean itself is "good" now, a variation of Bogner's Shiva channel, a bit more sparkle though . . .

In seriousnesss, good stuff. I wish I had the ability to do builds. I'd probably put a capacitor in upside down or something
This is what we all do the weekend before Easter :dunno:

You almost say it like a bad thing

PS - Olaf, tight set up, stoked on the clips!!

Thanks :)

first vid, uninspiried but louder than usually

Olaf, nicely done. Your work is superb and loved the clips.

Olaf my friend, I must say this amp is your masterpiece SO FAR........

MY FAV. wow.....really thick and creamy. The saturation is just perfect! very very good clean channel too!

Hmm - the best so far was when I visited Peter some weeks and showed him the very first 50 Watt Joe with Svetlanas. We played it thru his old Diezel 4x12 w/V30 which he always uses for his work - and he said after three chords: "geil" :D - which means "horny" in the sense of awesome or so. The circuitry in this (and most of my stuff) is very very similar.

This one is just a "toy", made from spare parts I had flying around.

The 100 Watter in PCB ("Noire et Blanc"), which I'm currently building, (hopefully) will be as "geil" as the 50s Joe, just with more bells and whistles like midi.

Sorry, thats already given to a regional pro - it is his second LJ, he has a 20 Watter for the smaller gigs and the 50 Watter for bigger ones.
I wil record one with EL34s soon . . .
