Mesa 2C+ RI oscillation fixed

That's great! Let's hope Mesa fixes this in the near future. Still awaiting for my IIC++ RI from a German retailer. Will be interesting to see if it has this issue as well.

Great! Now let’s get that 90’s Triple Rec RI going.

The 90’s Dual Rec is practically goddamn silent, btw. It’s a genuinely incredible amp.

My multi-watt is practically silent as well. For such a high-gain amp it's pretty damn impressive. My Marshalls are noisy as hell by comparison.

I have owned both the IIC+ RI and the IIC++ RI and never had oscillation issues with either. I also do not run the Input at 10, the Treble at 10, the Lead Drive at 10, and so on. If you push most amps like that you are going to get oscillation and feedback. Both amps sounded excellent to me, and the IIC+ RI was nearly identical to my ’83 DRGX.

It is interesting that someone found a workaround for players who are having issues. My concern is that people may try to attempt this fix themselves and either damage their amp or electrocute themselves.

The other thing is credibility. Are you really going to mod your amp because a random YouTuber with 1,000 followers says this is the fix? Respectfully, he is not exactly an authority. Nobody knows what he does or does not understand about these circuits, and it is hard to believe he knows more than Mike B or Doug West, who have been designing and servicing Mesas for over 40 years.

:cautious: No, don't fuck yourself and your amp up, like he said, "Hey MESA, fix your amp so assholes like me don't have to."

Keep after GIBSON to correct it.
