Mesa doing another reissue. They reissued the Mark I a while back. This amp is a reissue of the precursor to that amp. Might be kinda cool. But, really scratching my head over this. People want a IIC+ reissue, not this. They'll probably sell them, but come on.

EDIT: Power transformer on that guy is freaking huge. Looks pretty cool.

Boring.
I'd rather see a Triaxis update or a rackmount Mark V.

I'd love to see a new preamp from them, or an updated Triaxis!

Apparently just an updated or tweaked Mark I reissue.

That's what I think. They had too many Mark I re-issues in inventory so they gave them some cosmetics and maybe changed a couple resister values around.

I wish they'd get back to creating new exciting amps again. They've been stuck on the whole "British" voicing crap for years now. They just fell in line with all the other Marshall imitators.

A new Triaxis would be killer.
Two rack spaces,
Digital version of the GEQ rather than the DV,
Clean, Lonestar, and Mark I for the cleans,
Mark I, ED, and Recto Orange for LD1
Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and Recto Red for LD2.

Then a new rack mount power amp too.

They have to appeal to the TGP folks once in a while too

Meh … not for me. Unrelated though, I see Carlos about town here in Vegas, usually at the Summerlin Whole Foods, and he is always very nice to the folks who want to chat or take a pic. Of the 4 times I have seen him, I have only ever nodded his way. I try not to bother folks, especially when they are buying groceries.

Reissue something that is incredibly expensive or rare. Which.... this is. A II C+ would be a good candidate too.

Or even an early (F or earlier) Dual recto two channel, with ONE change - the footswitchable solo boost the later amps had. Chrome chassis, black faceplate. They would sell the hell out of those IMHO.

Meh. If they are going to reissue anything a IIC+ is what we all want.

As far as new I would like to see a mini mark v.

  YOu guys are haters. This is the amp that started it all.. Maybe not our cup of tea, but it is what it is..

Besides, Mesa said the 2C+ on the V is better than the real thing.

Man, they don't even offer the chrome chassis option any more on any of the Rectos. Would make for a cool special edition amp.

From the comments on TGP, the reason for the King Snake arguably is that it's just a rehash of the previous Mark I Reissue, so it's not anything difficult for them to do. A IIC+ Reissue would be a completely new amp. I think Rev F Rectos used the same circuit board as Rev G rectos, but maybe the earlier versions used completely different boards, which also might be a lot of work for Mesa to have reissued. Dunno.

Would be very cool to see either. But, to be honest, the new Multiwatt Rectos are amazing, and unless the IIC+ Reissue had all the bells and whistles (e.g., it was a DRGX or maybe even a Coliseum DRGX), the price of a reissue might not make it any more attractive than just hunting down the real thing.

Yeah, the new Multi-Watt Rectos are quite cool. Definitely a step in the right direction. Innovating, improving on existing designs, listening to what the customer wants, etc.

Carlos Santana post Woodstock gives me a rash. Id rather listen to CC Deville play talk dirty to me on a clarinet.

Thats was rather random......carry on....

They will reissue stuff nobody is asking for and refuse to reissue what everyone WANTS. They even talk shit about the IIC+ in the mark V manual. The IIC+ was soo good, they fucked up and stopped making it, they can't duplicate it, now they hate it.

With Humbucker Music showing the King Snake at $2495, even if Mesa did reissue a IIC+ the price would probably be a bit on the absurd side of high.
