So for the guys that already bought amps, any idea what fix they are going to offer and will it cost us anything out of pocket?

if there is no issue at band volumes and the issue only occurs at bedroom levels I don't think they should change a thing. If this truly is the exact same amp he uses live then I think the rest of us should be able to make it work or find something more suited to madison square bedroom. I dont know what the "fix" would mean in terms of altering the sound or feel of the amp but I am certainly not in favor of degrading the tone to appease playing at bedroom levels.

Thank you Reza. Never doubt the truth my friends.

I figure just like their warranty procedure, ship the amp to them and they will do the fix and ship it back for free.
For the people who don't want the design altered by doing the fix, they could keep it as it is.

I'm confused.

I will TRY and read Superunknown's thread again.

I thought the amp came out the way it did because they didn't want to alter the original circuit. Now I'm hearing that a guy at Mesa Hollywood (who first waffled and lied) is now saying there is indeed a problem and Mesa will fix it under warranty. But, if you want the original circuit then don't send it in for the fix.

Is that right?

Reza is the official spokesperson now. When he speaks people listen. Be patient he will tell us what to think.

I have been intrigued about this amp big time! But all this circus is funny!! So Reza the amp did not do much for you at all? It would not be an asset in your arsenal??

just came back from the Mesa Hollywood store. played the amp. sounded ok. nothing too special. very busy in the midrange (its a Mark series, I get it)
Salesperson was waffling hard on the loop issue, first he was like NO there is no problem. then he spilled the beans, yes there was a problem, and they are fixing it.
so there it is. Everyone who gave Superunknown shit about the loop can go fuck themselves. IT WAS/IS an issue and Mesa is responding by doing some fix for it.

Read the manual. No one else is bitching about the loop. So you can go FUCK YOURSELF you prick.

I don't think anyone doubted that the loop had that issue. It's whether it's a big problem and worth the tradeoff to have the original circuit in the lead channels (assuming that's actually true). Again, to some it'd be worth the trdeoff since it's not like the original had a dedicated clean channel once you really gained-up the lead channel.

Thanks Reza! I am sort of gassing a bit for a new amp! I just have my Bogners.... 101b and twin jet. Thinking I want 6l6 amp again....

The entire premise of the previous thread on this was the return due to the issue of the loop.
I don't need to read the manual when I can go to the actual source and talk to the guys who are distributing the amp and get answers.
Nothing wrong with fucking yourself, if you love yourself. Try that once in your life.

So did you try a delay in the loop and hear it for yourself? still waiting for this clip that superunknow said he would post without the super low volumes in the last video. Again we all know your fucking agenda when it comes to gear and it's getting boring. Kindly awaiting your next douchebag response.

Nice. One week in and they are already on a new revision. I wonder what color this one will be.

Here you go VC4Eve. Each volume was at 10 O'Clock. Like it or not, this loop issue was in the design. I don't know if you actually own the amp or not, but the excuses about reading the manual, etc. just don't hold water anymore. My JP2C may actually be coming back because I really love the amp. Gonna decide tonight. Hope this finally puts this issue to rest. Peace.

That thing sounds wicked cool! Told ya you should have just kept it, Mesa will have a fix for those that want it "fixed." I want one, once the "newness" wears off and the used market settles out on these.

Even though I do love my UPGRADED(lol) SRG 2C+, I still think this amp kills, every clip sounds great. At least the R/T ones lol, I like these better than the produced ones!

So let me get this straight...after taking trash about Mesa and bombarding a thread for days about an amp you'd never even played, let alone owned, you finally go to a store and play one for a bit, then immediately run back home to not post in the 6 page long thread which is still going, but start your own completely separate thread to rehash the same tired garbage from the other one?

That, my friends, is the very definition of being a troll on the Internet.

No one should be giving Superunknown a hard time about his decisions. That's his money, his choice, and at least he owned the amp and made an informed decision on what he wanted to do. Everyone else can mind their own business. However, starting ridiculous threads like this is as bad or worse than what you accused everyone else of doing in the other. I've never seen someone have such a weird obsession over an amp they've never owned, don't want to buy, and have only played once in a store.

I agree with you about Superunknown. I don't understand why anyone would want to bash on a guy because he bought an amp, tried it out, and decided to return it. Why should anyone care what he does? It's his money, and his decision.
