Dude I just explained it in simple English. If you can't understand what I am talking about then sorry I can't help you. I am trying to find out if by balancing the clean and dirty channels send levels will the issue reduce or go away.

I just got the amp today. At low volumes (all settings at 9:00) I put clean gain/MV at 9:00, also put ch. 2 gain/MV at 9:00 it still does the same thing with delay (Fractal FX8) in the loop. Big volume jump when there is a trailing delay. It's weird because it's comes in way louder than what ch. 2 is set it. There is probably a way to balance everything to unity but it is kind of retarded that it does it.

Assume same settings in ch. 1 both at 9:00, however you put ch. 2 gain at 7:00 and MV at 9:00, it does the same thing. So even if Ch. 2 (gain aka fx send) is set low it still does it.

You would have to get to retarded loud volumes where it isn't as bad.

Thanks for the review. I guess people that want to switch between channels with delay are either going to have to get the mod or play really loud lol. I don't ever do that scenario but apparently its do or die for some.

I only spent 15mins fucking around with it though. Need to get back to work. Also, I still need to RTFM. :)

At the moment the only thing more annoying than the loop issue is I am getting a ground loop with my FX8 where i wasn't getting with my Mark V 25.

I'll definitely need to tinker with it more, i haven't spent enough time with the amp to find a work around or actually know the amp, but I just wanted to post my findings on what other suggested to test out. There are a lot of buttons on the amp that I don't even know what they are for yet.

No delay?  The way I run my Intellifex, if I'm on a delay preset during a lead towards the end of a lead I go back to my basic rhythym preset anyway. No song we play goes from lead to clean, and I don't use delay on my rhythym presets. So for me this wouldn't be an issue. Like I've said before, dedicated clean/rhythym/lead channels for 2500, with the tone I've heard from these clips I still think this amp is a great value. Just don't use the loop...plenty of dudes play without effects. It can be done.

Well despite all the negative press, it didn't stop me from buying one. Some people were just out there to see the product fail.

I want to hear some of you guys ripping up one of these damnit!! lets get some clips on here!!!

What in the hell is a manual?

:D

I think he is the assistant manager at the Mexican restaurant that's a couple doors down from the Mesa Hollywood store.

Oh you mean this cute little guy?

Now what in the fuck does he have to do with the new Mesa..........oh wait...

He is EMMANUEL......My bad.
Sorry....carry on the conversation.

Can we step back for a minute and assess the bigger issue? Why in the hell are loops still an issue in 2016? Seriously, it seems only a handful of amps have a truly near-transparent, trouble free loop. Wtf?

I'm not an EE or builder but is it that complicated compared to the rest of the circuit? None of the other Mark series loops do this. Why this one? Not bashing Mesa, I really just want to understand why so many near perfect amps seem to fumble when it comes to the effects loop.

Like the first time I met Dan. Perfect legs but that extra big toe on each foot just kills the mood.

Even stranger when I think about how my late 80's Mark III Blue Stripe has a near perfect loop!

Right? I thought it was just me that felt this way.

If the loop is really jacked,it's a shame this happened on a new amp that was so highly anticipated. But it will get sorted. First gen stuff often has issues. But look at how desirable the first gen Uberschalls are now,not to mention the rev green.

Personally,I don't care as long as I can put a decimator in the loop to get rid of the preamp hiss. I never play an amps clean channel anyway....I just bust out the acoustic. (Note,my acoustic hasn't seen the light of day in years)

Truth. I can't remember how the hell I survived without a decimator?? Tap dancing after the song is over, boosts off etc..

Without a doubt. The only effects processor that I own is connected to my 5150III 100S. ;)

I dont Remember you complaining at the truck stop in flint.
In fact you seemed to be "rather fond" of that extra toe.

....and the shit he did with that toe?
Can't describe it here. Would have to ban myself for talking so filthy. Might have to send the story to penthouse forums.

Creepy foot fetishes aside, I just played my IV loud for awhile and it's so addicting! Has that rubbery but tight low end response, sort of nasal midrange and liquid feel for leads. Awesome for some time but it can get fatiguing after an hour or so. For me, Marks are an amazing tool in the studio and really fun to bust out now and then but I couldn't get by with one as my main amp.

And playing again today makes me realize that I like the Mark loud but not opened up, crazy loud. Seems to fall apart and the high end start to hurt my ears. The Ecstasy and Soldano HR/SLO and friedmans I've played do the mega loud thing well and sound richer. I'd love to play a JP2c mega loop + niner!
