If you like Ola Englund's recto demos the 808 is all over them. I think he shows his setting in some.
 
I have a Maxon OD808 and a Mesa Flux Drive. I prefer the Mesa Flux boosting my Recto. Which I never thought I'd find a boost I liked better than an 808 for a Recto.

Suhr T with Bare Knuckle AM --> Mesa Flux --> amp
 
How do you like the Bareknuckle pickups and are Bogner cabs smaller then Mesa cabs I need to get a good cab that fits in the trunk of my car

Get the Bogner 212CB Stack cab, it's shorter than the OS212 Bogner cab but had big low end like a 412.
 
Just subscribed to your YouTube channel what did you think of the Hagen when you had it?

Is it the same basic flavour of boost as the 808?
 
sorta - I set my OD's for clean boost (gain low, level up). The Flux does have a little different dynamic and push on the front end...it's more robust than the OD808.
I wanna try that OD808 Xtreme too though, heard good stuff about it.

I have had all but the Schmidt & Einstein. I had a 2005 or so Herbert, 2013 VH4, 2013 DMoll, and the Hagen. I think they're all great amps - the Hagen was just more to my liking. That said, I still have my Triple Rec :D

have you tried the grid slammer or the tone burst and whats the difference between using a boost to vs a overdrive to boost?
 
I have not tried those, but would like to.
I love boost pedals. I want to get the new OD808 Killswitch Engage pedal when it comes out.


not sure what they're playing through but it sounds damn good
