When we went to the Mesa Boogie booth it was packed! Could barely even move around so we left without getting to try out anything. Anyone get a chance to try out the Electrodyne, seems all the coverage is on the Mark V and I can't find anything on the Electrodyne.

I did and to me it had some things in common with the lone star and a mark I.
I played it after the V so I was not as excited I guess...

did you try all the channels?

did the higher gain tones sound like they could go brutal with a boost or emgs?

I didn't. I have never played a Mesa other than there 4x10 blues box(heartbreaker i think it was called). Played the V and was floored. The clean channel is warm and snappy, the gain channel with some tweaking will kill, also being able to assign different eq curves to different channels is outstanding, not to mention the power switch to knock the volume down a tad, etc, etc, etc.

Yeah i'm sold on the V

Since I was the one who said that and to set the record straight on your little dig here....

A) I by no means think Im an authority on ANYTHING
B) Most importantly I said I still wanted to hear it in person because I know that clips can be misleading

Bumping an old thread. Just curious if more people have played it now, I have been hearing good things about the Electrodyne....

I played one for about 2 hours....definitely nicer than the lone star, I thought....maybe not as many options, but the dirty channels are waaaaayyyy more useable than the overly muddy, overstated mid, flabby gain of the lonestar's dirty ch....The clean ch and reverb is some of boogies best yet!
