Why not the 2c+ reissues? I’d love one or an MKIV
I played one and liked the VII more.

Oh, I see now! All the power to youI played one and liked the VII more.
it’s not my cup of tea either so i wouldn’t deem this a demo that woos meCannot listen to that. Overall off putting and non-musical to my ears.
I like the smooth liquid/glass texture of the gain which is what I guess other's see as too compressed.
He’s all over the road.Love that Bass + Metal Zone tone.

Agreed. And my experience is the same. All Marks are "liquid/glass texture" and all Marks are compressed, but some versions are more compressed than others. I couldn't get along with the V because it was so much more compressed and hi-fi vs the IV. But my IV is way more compressed than my Marshalls by a long shot.
How dare you!I never thought I would say this, but I'm starting to enjoy the feeling and thump of Rectifiers more than my Marks. I've been a die-hard Mark loyalist for so long it feels dirty saying this.
How dare you!
Just kidding.
A rrectifier with a ts-9 is a good tone for sure, one of my favs. It's certainly not gonna replace my IV though. Maybe you're just going through a phase??
Good bass player.
All good man, it's common to drift back & forth!I never thought I would say this, but I'm starting to enjoy the feeling and thump of Rectifiers more than my Marks. I've been a die-hard Mark loyalist for so long it feels dirty saying this.
