Eric's recordings are always impressive - has great tones.
Course he doesn't have the Dual anymore - has a Triple Multi-Watt

Was that video the dual or new triple?

He thinks the triple is better sounding than that dual...???

From the other video link I posted with from guy the music store with the comparison, the dual sounds a little compressed in the mids and a little bit smaller... I like the triple sounds better especially at the end of the video where he is playing with gain you can really tell the differnce

Don's demos are good - low mid grunt of the Trec is where it's at.

trick is running channel 2 in modern and channel 3 in vintage, not sure why but orange channel (2) sounds meaner than the red on same setting

Nope. Got a Dual Rectifier a couple years ago and it sounds like pissed off bees in a tin can. Now, my 2 channel Dual Rectifier sounds awesome. I have no idea why maybe I got a magic one but it's night and day compared to the new ones.

The only problem is the 2 channel Rectifiers fx loops are useless and the clean channel isn't very good. I am thinking about getting a Roadster, I think that's the closest to get two channel sound while getting a good fx loop and good clean channel.

When I bought a multi watt Triple I played it against a Roadster and thought the Triple sounded better, the Roadster was really dark. The new Multi watt models don't sound anything like a can of bees unless you put it on modern and don't tweak it right.

this

have to eq the amp, bass at no higher than noon usually, gain less than noon...go from there

Man, I wish I found a dual I liked as much as this triple, particularly for tubes sakes Giles. I have bunches of quads, but matching 6 sucks. I'm not sure if it's just inconsistency in general, but this triple is my favorite out of the 3 multis I've owned. The others were duals however.

Erock I didn't realize you went through 3 multi's. For some reason I thought you went straight to the Triple.

Just a quick last vid for Giles.

"Bark at the Forlorn".

Tried the Zoom Q2HD again, I think it turned out a little better still a work in progress though still a bit scratchy.

I have had every flavor recto know to mankind except this one.

I have tried them when they first hit the streets at GC and had mixed thoughts about them.

Was thinking of picking one up (and selling it a couple days later  ) and wanted to see how much love there is out there for these newer versions in addition to all the youtube videos I have watched.

Thanks.
A couple of days later ....your slowing down

THE NEW "NIPPLE" LANDS IN 48 HOURS !!!

Man on Monday I was looking at my checking account and was like ok???

Then it hit me about 9:00 this morning that I'm still getting 2k back that I had totally forgotten about from the EVH Stealth 100S I sent back.

I was like cool!

I need to celebrate having a little more cash then I thought I had on Monday and buy a multiwatt today.

At least with the non-multiwatt 3-channels, I definitely think that's the ticket. They got the presence values for the channels backwards or something.

I have a "Nipple" erection now asfter watching that...

I snapped and my new "Nipple" lands Friday...

BTW you need to move that cool stealth nipple rectifier a little further away from that nerdy "comet tolex" covered bogner 2x12 as it detracts from the super duper awesomeness of it...

Here's my bogner 2x12 , I found it last year NIB at a dealer who still had one in stock with the original tolex...

I have never really used it much and its for sale too...

Congrats Giles! Although I won't act surprised if there's a quick turnaround...

Ya I like the original Bogner tolex better too...lol.

Great cabs though imo.

Well I have always had a rectifier of some sort in my possession for the last 14 years so...

There will be no "turnaround"...!!!

Once you cross over the dark side of "multi-squat", there is no going back...

I was planning on taking it thought its paces wit the stock tubes and then trying out a custom sextet (matched for mesa rectifiers) of JJ kt77's I have from Euro-tubes in it in EL34 Mode.

I have a matched sextet of the KT-77's in my 1998 Triple Rec two channel and the amp screams...

Just soooo smooth and liquid on the vintage gain channel with a boost.
