It makes no sense, but I'm kinda wanting one of these new Rectos with the gold diamond plate.

I've had a few Rev Gs and a Rev E Dual. And I've had a Rev G, 3-channel, and Multiwatt Triple. The Rev G Dual probably was my fav out of them. I thought the Multiwatt Triple was vastly superior to the earlier 3-channel, and maybe a bit stiffer than the G Triple.

Which Rev is the Multiwatt Dual most similar to? Is it going to be stiffer than the G?

I prefer the triple rev g I've got compared to the multi watt triple I had last year.

Yeah, that's my memory of them too. I didn't own them at the same time, but I have much fonder memories of the Rev G Triple.

The multiwatt is a tad more modern or hifi sounding. It also has a very reasonable clean channel. I only like the multiwatt with 6CA7 tubes...they really open up the sound. Rev g is a little warmer and richer.

I had a Triple MultiWatt and my Rev F side by side - they were actually close in terms of aggression, but the F had a little more clarity. It’s all about how you dial them in. For the money a MultiWatt is a killer amp.

The Multiwatt Triple just seemed to lack "character" in some way. I think I'll pass on these gold-face ones. Maybe get another Rev G Triple. I remember liking that amp a lot.

I liked my old 3-channel much more than the multi-watts (dual and triple) I played. I don't know how to describe it but the newer ones seemed to accentuate and bring out even more of the somewhat brittle presence that the rectos can have. It's part of the sound and what makes them cut but the multis seem brighter and more clear as someone said above but I think it's too much.

Rev G Tremoverb is what I have and love. I don't feel a need for a second rectifier to be honest.

(Edit; accidentally said F instead of G.)

All Tremoverb are G.
It's my favorite of the Rectifier. I bought mine in 1994.

G plus the extra tube for tremolo, great amps

My bad. Yes it is a rev G. Failure of memory.

There actually are some very early Tremoverbs made during run of Rev F. You mostly see them in combo format, though.

Didn't know that but mine is a rev G

Same here bro!

I have a G triple & a MW dual. I love them both for different reasons. The MW isn't the absolute best at anything, but it's really damn good at everything. Excellent for a gigging amp.

The G Triple is just a BEAST. Cleans suck but who cares. Orange & red channels are that sound.

I've got an early Triple rev G (small logo, Schumacher transformers, attached power cord) I'm gonna be selling.....

I had a racktifier serial # 940. It was the best recto one I have ever played.
